Beleza: Corpo, Palavra e Imagem was the motto launched at the end of the FLM chosen last year as a starting point for the 2015 Festival.
If we understand the aesthetic experience as a world of experience (real or imagined, natural or built), the beauty is cardinal point of human action, the unthinkable turned into desire, act of creation made infinite in an attempt to achieve the unattainable: perfection.
Beauty is then a kind of unmoved mover, whether or human transcendence of desire - from himself to himself, from himself and the relationship with the Other, from each other and the relationship with the divine. Relations mediated by the word (spoken, heard or absent), the body (hands open in prayer to the Other and the transcendent) and image (pleasure or pain of building it, the pleasure and the pain of learning to see ).
It is the human utopia. The awareness of the impossibility of coincidence with you, with each other, with the divine and so beauty is an utopia doomed to ruin. But it is also possible, future hypothesis, eternal promise of the future. It is the eternal hope. How Clarice Lispector so well summed up: "There is a being who lives in me as if it was its home, and it is. "(Clarice Lispector)
Beleza: Corpo, Palavra e Imagem is the starting point for MLF 2015. Opening the debate on the aesthetic experience as world experience, Clarice Lispector: «Há um ser que mora em mim como se casa sua fosse, e é.»
Similar to the model that we've consolidated in recent editions, MLF includes two major conferences, opening and closing, both at the Municipal Theatre Baltazar Dias. Soon, we will disclose the names who will set the compass of each act.
Because innovation is a characteristic of MLF, we keep the Municipal Theatre Baltazar Dias as the epicenter, but broadened borders. Soon the news and the names that make up the 5th edition of the MLF.
Inheritance does not frighten us. After Mariano Deidda, Sérgio Godinho and Adriana Calcanhotto, the MLF promotes another great musical moment. In our 5th anniversary, the excellence of Rodrigo Leão brings us «O Espírito de Um País». Apart from this concert of the great Portuguese composer, the MLF prepares news that ensure the difference.

With Camané, who signed an intense cameo in this show, but also with a string quartet and even the accordion of Celina da Piedade, Rodrigo Leão journeys deep into the part of his repertoire where the strongest links to his particular idea of Portugality can be found. "It was a very special night," recalls Rodrigo Leão, " so special that deserves to be revisited and even expanded." The composer refers to the possibility of this show to present new material.
O Espírito de Um País is a must, a trip through Portugal that Rodrigo Leão has represented so well across borders and that has inspired his inimitable creations!

ENDLESS is a criation presented for the first time in 2012 by the group DANÇANDO COM A DIFERENÇA. It is the outcome of the visits done in the project «Ma-Ma Project» - https://mamaproject.wordpress.com (a Grundtvig partnership with Aprendizagem ao Longo da Vida, with partners in Germany, Lithuania, Poland and Estonia) to the Holocaust Memorial (Berlin), to the Hill of Crosses (Lithuania) and to the concentration camps in Auschwitz-Birkenau (Poland).
In the words of its criator, Henrique Amoedo, ENDLESS is a show where dance, music and video interact questioning the human condition, life, the degradation of the body and our only certainty, death.
Endless?Maybe.»
